Salvadores Mezcal Joven Espadin is an artisanal mezcal produced in Tlacolula de Matamoros, Oaxaca, Mexico, by a family with roots in mezcal-making dating back to the early 1900s. Made from 100% Espadin agave plants aged approximately 8 years before harvest, this Joven (unaged) expression preserves the pure, unbarrel-aged character of the agave in a crystal-clear spirit.

Production follows traditional artisanal methods: the agave hearts are slowly roasted in an earthen conic pit to impart depth and subtle smokiness, then crushed using a tahona stone. The mash undergoes natural fermentation in open wooden tubs before being double-distilled in copper alembic stills, a process that yields a remarkably clean and expressive spirit.

The mezcal presents a light to medium body with sparkling platinum tones and aromas of citrus, ripe guava, and green herbs with a light smokiness. On the palate, layers of spice, pepper, and sweet tropical fruit give way to a lingering finish with notes of cooked agave, toasted coconut, and moist tobacco. This expression has earned a BTI Gold Medal and an SFWSC Silver Medal, and was recognized in the Top 99 Mezcales 2022 by CAVA Revista. Sold in a 750ml bottle.
