Lagarde Primeras Viñas three-bottle wine collection featuring two bottles of Malbec and one bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon, each 750ml. Produced by Bodegas Lagarde, one of the oldest wineries in Mendoza, Argentina, with the first vine planted in 1897 and Malbec vines over 100 years old. The winery is currently run by sisters Sofia and Lucila Pescarmona, the third generation of the winemaking family.
The Primeras Viñas line is a tribute to Mendoza's rich winemaking heritage, crafted from exceptional vineyards selected for both their age and meticulous management. Each wine is aged 16 to 18 months in French oak barrels with at least 12 months of controlled storage, giving them excellent aging potential.
The Malbec is sourced from Luján de Cuyo vineyards planted between 1906 and 2007 at elevations of 850 to 980 meters. It presents a dark red color with violet hues, aromas of red fruit with menthol, coconut, vanilla, and spice, and a velvety smooth, juicy palate with a prolonged finish. 14.1% ABV. The Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the Perdriel sub-region and displays a bright red cherry color with notes of cherry, pepper, chocolate, and tobacco, complemented by impressive tannins and a cool, vibrant feel. 14% ABV. Both wines pair beautifully with roasted red meats, lamb, and poultry.
