Fuligni Sangiovese Grosso is a prestigious red wine from the celebrated Fuligni estate in Montalcino, Tuscany, Italy. Crafted from 100% Sangiovese Grosso — the noble Brunello clone grown on the estate's hillside vineyards — this 750ML bottle represents one of Italy's most esteemed wine traditions. The Fuligni family has cultivated their estate on the eastern slopes of Montalcino for generations, producing wines of exceptional elegance and longevity.
The wine is deep ruby in color with a fruity and floral bouquet accented by subtle spice. On the nose, expect dried cherry, black plum, violet, leather, earthy notes, and hints of tobacco and baking spice. The palate is silky, structured, and well-balanced, delivering layers of red fruit, savory herbs, cedar, and mineral undertones with soft, noble tannins and a long, elegant finish. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats before the wine undergoes extended aging in large Slavonian oak casks.
This wine pairs beautifully with rich, structured dishes, red meat, game, and aged cheeses. With proper cellaring, it has the potential to age for 20 or more years. Highly regarded by leading critics with scores ranging from 94 to 97 points, this is an exceptional expression of Sangiovese Grosso from one of Montalcino's most respected producers.
