Costco orchids are typically Phalaenopsis (moth orchid) varieties, prized for their graceful arching stems and large, showy flowers that can remain in bloom for several months at a time. They thrive in bright, indirect light and prefer indoor temperatures between 65°F and 80°F (18–27°C). Water approximately once a week, allowing the potting medium to dry slightly between waterings, and fertilize every two weeks during the spring and summer growing season using an orchid-specific fertilizer. Moderate to high humidity of around 50–70% supports healthy root and foliage development.

After blooming, trim the flower spike just above the second node from the base to encourage a second bloom cycle, which typically occurs within 6–12 months.
