Domaine Georges Millérioux is a family-owned estate located in Amigny, a hamlet just west of the village of Sancerre in the Loire Valley, France. The Millérioux family has farmed the land here for three generations, cultivating approximately 15 hectares of vineyards today. Winemaker Nicolas Millérioux returned to the family domaine in 2008, bringing modern lo-fi vineyard practices and a commitment to expressing how Sancerre tasted earlier in the 20th century.
The vineyards are planted on chalky soils with 95% of holdings coming from two classic limestone terroirs: Caillotes, a hard shallow limestone full of stones, and Terres Blanches, a softer Kimmeridgian marl. Viticulture is entirely organic with soils worked manually, no herbicides used, and vines planted using massale selection — a rare approach for Sauvignon Blanc. In the cellar, all wines ferment naturally with indigenous yeasts, and extended lees-aging is used to enrich the wines, with only minimal sulfur additions at racking and bottling.
This Sancerre blanc is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc white wine showcasing the vibrant signature of the appellation: crisp acidity, lively citrus notes, fresh herbal character, and a distinctive mineral finish drawn from the chalky Loire soils. Sold as a case of 12 bottles (12 x 750ml).
