Otokoyama Kita no Inaho Daiginjo is a premium Japanese sake from Otokoyama Sake Brewery, based in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, Japan. "Kita no Inaho" translates to "Northern Rice Ear," a reflection of the Suisei sake rice sourced in Hokkaido and polished down to 40% of its original grain size — the standard for Daiginjo classification. Otokoyama has brewed sake using Hokkaido spring water for decades, and in 1977 became the first sake ever to win the prestigious Monde Selection award.
This Daiginjo delivers an elegant, gorgeous aroma of green apple with a very fruity and soft palate, silky smooth texture, and a long, lingering aftertaste. Tasting notes include ripe pear, mango, and apple, creating a layered, expressive flavor profile that appeals to both sake enthusiasts and newcomers alike. It carries an ABV of 16%, a Sake Meter Value (SMV) of 0 for a semi-sweet character, and an acidity level of 1.2.
Best served chilled between 10–15°C (50–59°F) or at room temperature. Ideal pairings include sushi, sashimi, shellfish, oysters, tempura, sukiyaki, cheese, and fresh fruit. Each case contains 6 bottles of 720 ml.
