Hyland Estates Coury Pinot Noir is a single-clone Pinot Noir sourced from the oldest blocks of the Hyland Estates Vineyard in the McMinnville AVA of Oregon's Willamette Valley. The vineyard spans 185 planted acres on volcanic Jory soil at elevations between 650 and 900 feet, nestled in the foothills of the Oregon Coast Range.

This wine is crafted from 100% Coury Clone Pinot Noir using whole cluster fermentation and aged for 10 months in French oak, with 35% new barrels and the remainder in once-used barrels. It carries an alcohol content of 13.7% and a pH of 3.62.

On the nose, the wine is flinty and earthy with freshly tilled diatomaceous soil character alongside shades of red raspberry and sour cherry. The palate is lithe and beautifully textured with characteristic tea-like spices that are a hallmark of the Coury Clone, firm back-palate tannins, and a fantastic sense of weight and length. The wine received 94 points from Wine Enthusiast with an Editors' Choice designation.
