Casa Ferreirinha Quinta da Leda is a prestigious single-estate red wine from the Douro Valley in Portugal, crafted exclusively from estate-grown grapes at Quinta da Leda. A Douro DOC blend of 41% Touriga Franca, 34% Touriga Nacional, 13% Tinto Cão, and 12% Tinta Roriz, it is the flagship single-estate bottling from Casa Ferreirinha — the Douro's most historic and iconic wine house.
The wine offers an intense and complex aroma of dried fruits, almonds, and hazelnuts, with floral notes of lavender and hints of cedar and menthol, followed by additional notes of black fruit and very high-quality oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and smooth, with lively, well-integrated tannins and further notes of flowers and dark fruit that invite a finish of great elegance and longevity. Alcohol content is 14%. Contains sulfites.
Vinified at the estate winery from 100% estate-grown grapes, production begins with total destemming and soft crushing before transfer to stainless steel tanks (90%) and traditional lagares (10%) for maceration and alcoholic fermentation. Maceration is adapted to each grape variety over approximately 8 days at controlled temperatures between 82–86°F.
Consistently awarded top scores by James Suckling (95–96), Wine Enthusiast (95–96 Cellar Selection), Wine Advocate (94+), and Wine Spectator (93–94). Rated 4.4 out of 5 by over 23,500 Vivino users. Pairs beautifully with red meat, roasted lamb, game, aged cheeses, and pasta dishes.
