Hestan Vineyards Chardonnay San Francisco Bay is a Napa Valley estate wine crafted by acclaimed winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown from grapes grown at the Hestan estate's Chardonnay vineyard in Vallejo, California—just 300 yards from the San Francisco Bay at the southern end of Highway 29. The estate spans approximately 240 acres in Gordon Valley and is powered entirely by solar energy. This 750ml bottle is classified under the San Francisco Bay AVA and is part of Hestan's flagship wine portfolio, named for proprietors Helen and Stanley Cheng ("HES" + "STAN").

The wine is barrel fermented in French oak (approximately 40% new, 60% neutral barrels) and is unfined and unfiltered, showcasing the vineyard's true terroir. It delivers a rich, creamy profile with aromas of ripe apricot, yellow peach, mango, golden apple, honeysuckle, and butterscotch, complemented by notes of melting butter and crème brûlée. On the palate, it offers golden delicious apple, baked pear, baked pineapple, and light spice including ginger, with a bright yet balanced acidity, supple mouthfeel, and a long, lingering finish. Alcohol is approximately 14.1% ABV.

This Chardonnay pairs beautifully with shellfish, crab, lobster, duck, pork, chicken, turkey, white fish, mushrooms, and cream-based sauces, and also makes an elegant aperitif.
