Unico Zelo Pipe Dream is a single-vineyard Nero d'Avola from Birdwood in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. Crafted by winemakers Brendan and Laura Carter, this wine represents their vision of Italian-inspired, site-expressive Australian winemaking. The name "Pipe Dream" reflects Brendan's aspiration for Nero d'Avola to one day be more widely planted in Australia than Shiraz.

This medium-bodied red features a bright, addictive raspberry core with ripples of blueberry and red apple, complemented by rocky mineral acidity and a clean finish. Grown in alluvial quartz-shot clay soils on vines grafted in 2016, it is produced with minimal intervention. The wine is vegan friendly and clocks in at 13.5% ABV. Recent vintages have earned 92 points from James Suckling.
