Hard Truth Sweet Mash Four Grain Bourbon is a Bottled-in-Bond straight bourbon whiskey produced grain-to-glass at Hard Truth Distilling Co. in Brown County, Indiana. This 100-proof (50% ABV) small-batch bourbon features a distinctive four-grain mashbill of 78% corn, 9% rye, 9% wheat, and 4% malted barley, sourced from local Indiana family farmers. It was distilled in the spring of 2019 and bottled in the spring of 2024 after approximately five years of aging.

The bourbon is crafted using Hard Truth's signature sweet mash process, which uses 100% fresh ingredients rather than reusing backset. It is distilled on a custom Vendome copper column still and aged in Independent Stave Company custom Cooper Select barrels built with 18- to 24-month seasoned staves. Each release is a true small batch of 28 to 30 barrels.

Tasting notes include baking chocolate, malted barley, cassia cinnamon, and white grape on the nose. The palate delivers nutmeg, cinnamon syrup, baking spice, light peppermint candy, toasted oak, and white peppercorn spice with subtle sweetness. The finish offers light oak and lingering cinnamon spice.
