Poggio del Concone Toscana Rosso is a Tuscan red wine blend crafted from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sangiovese grapes grown on the south-facing hillsides of Tuscany. This Toscana IGT-classified wine bridges the distinctive character of Tuscany with the winemaking tradition of Piedmont, where the wine is barrel-aged following vinification.

The wine presents a deep ruby red color with complex aromas of blackberry, fresh plums, cherries, currants, and a hint of liquorice. On the palate it is mouth-filling and fresh with polished tannins, pronounced acidity, and a warm, long finish. Alcohol content is 14% by volume.

The three grape varieties are vinified separately to preserve their individual characteristics. Sangiovese and Merlot undergo cold soaking for five days at 4°C before fermenting for 12 to 14 days at a controlled maximum temperature of 24°C. Thirty percent of the batch is aged in oak barrels for three months, followed by two months of bottle aging. Vineyard practices include Guyot training at 4,500 vines per hectare on skeletal soils at 150 to 300 meters above sea level.

This wine pairs well with grilled red meats, pork ribs, leg of lamb, and beef burgers. Available in cases of 12 x 750ML bottles.
