Real de Asúa Carromaza is a prestigious single-vineyard red wine from the Rioja DOCa appellation in Spain, produced by CVNE (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España) under its Imperial winery label. First created in 1994 as a tribute to the Real de Asúa brothers who founded the winery, this wine is made exclusively from 100% Tempranillo grapes grown on the 2.37-hectare Carromaza plot in Villalba, Rioja Alta.

The Carromaza vineyard sits at approximately 600 metres above sea level on a cool hillside surrounded by Mediterranean forest. The site benefits from Atlantic weather influences — breezy and frost-prone — while receiving natural protection from the Sierra de Cantabria mountains, contributing to the wine's remarkable freshness and complexity. Vines are trained on a trellis system to withstand strong winds and are rooted in sandy clay soils over deeper red clay layers, providing structure and depth to the fruit.

Real de Asúa has earned exceptional critical acclaim, receiving scores of 96 points from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate and Decanter, and 97 points from James Suckling. It is considered one of Spain's most distinguished single-vineyard Riojas, celebrated for its elegance, depth, and vibrant character with notes of dark cherry, violet, and aromatic herbs.
