The Durant & Booth label pays homage to Frederick Durant and Joseph and Willis Booth, who formed a partnership in 1897 and operated the landmark Oakville store and mercantile that helped establish the valley's commercial identity. Today the brand operates under the Boisset Collection, led by Jean-Charles Boisset. Winemaker Thane Knutson, who joined Durant & Booth in 2019 after years at Cakebread Cellars, Hess Collection Winery, and Raymond Vineyards, oversees production. The wine is composed of approximately 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot, and 3% Cabernet Franc, with 14.5% alcohol by volume.

The wine pours a deep, concentrated dark ruby in the glass. The aromatic profile opens with black cherry, plum, cassis, and graphite, layered with violet, anise, and a kiss of vanilla. On the palate, the wine is lush and full-bodied, with rich fruit and spice carried on well-integrated tannins that evolve into a long, satisfying finish.
