Elphie Deluxe Edition by Gregory Maguire (Hardcover)

Elphie (Deluxe Limited Edition): A Wicked Childhood is a hardcover prequel novel by bestselling author Gregory Maguire, the creator of the beloved Wicked series. Almost thirty years after the publication of the original Wicked, Maguire returns to Oz to reveal the origin story of Elphaba — the future Wicked Witch of the West — long before she became infamous.

The story follows young Elphie through a coming-of-age journey shaped by her parents' conflicting behaviors, jealousy of her siblings, and early encounters with mistreated Animal populations. Readers witness the friendships and formative experiences that define her character, culminating in her arrival at Shiz University where she first meets Galinda. This prequel offers a rich, emotional exploration of how an extraordinary girl becomes one of literature's most iconic figures.

This Deluxe Limited Edition features premium collectible extras including stenciled page edges, a color illustrated map of Oz, a signed bookplate by Gregory Maguire, and five exclusive mini prints — making it an ideal gift for fans of the Wicked Years series and the major motion picture.
