Jake's World Class Snappers are novelty fireworks designed for safe, fun entertainment. Each 50-pack contains individual bang snaps (also known as poppers or throw pops) that produce a sharp popping sound when thrown against a hard surface. The total package weighs 4 pounds.

Bang snaps consist of small amounts of gravel or coarse sand impregnated with approximately 0.2 milligrams of silver fulminate high explosive, twisted in tissue paper to create small cherry-shaped packages. When thrown, stepped on, or crushed, the friction-sensitive silver fulminate detonates, producing an audible crack similar to a cap gun. Despite containing a legitimate high-explosive detonation, the extremely high mass ratio of gravel to explosive ensures they only produce sound - they are incapable of producing physical damage, even when discharged in the hand.

These snappers have been widely sold as children's toys around the world since the 1950s and are a common part of celebrations including Fourth of July, New Year's Eve, and Chinese New Year festivities.
