Château Courac Côtes du Rhône is a classic Southern Rhône Valley red wine from the Côtes du Rhône AOC, produced at Château Courac in Laudun on the right bank of the Rhône River in France. The estate spans 90 hectares and has been owned and operated by Frédéric and Joséphine Arnaud — both qualified oenologists — since 1995. The wine is vegan and vegetarian certified, farmed with environmentally conscious practices including cover crops and careful canopy management to preserve freshness and fruit concentration.
The blend is composed of Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault, with Syrah playing a larger role than is typical for the appellation. The Syrah is fully destemmed to promote rich fruit character and silky tannins. The wine shows a deep purple color with brick tints at the rim, with aromas of blackberry, red plum, spice, violet, and black pepper. On the palate it is generous and full with an elegant, spicy finish and moderate tannins. The 2021 vintage earned 95 points from the Decanter World Wine Awards and the wine consistently rates 3.7–3.9 on Vivino across thousands of reviews.
At 14% ABV, it pairs well with grilled red meats, roast lamb, venison, tagines, couscous, and aged cheeses. Contains sulfites. Ready to drink upon release.
