Talosa Alboreto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG is a premium Italian red wine from Tuscany's prestigious Montepulciano appellation. Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, this wine is fermented for 15-20 days in temperature-controlled stainless steel, undergoes malolactic fermentation, and is then matured for two years in a combination of tonneaux, large barrels, and stainless steel.
The wine presents a dusty, dark yet attractively floral profile with crushed violets, black currants, and stone dust on the nose. On the palate it is silky and soothing, with mineral-tinged red and black fruit flavors across a brisk acid core. It carries 14.5% alcohol content and contains sulfites.
Fattoria della Talosa was founded in 1972 by Angelo Jacorossi and was one of the first wineries in Montepulciano to pursue fine quality winemaking. The winery holds a 4.1 average rating on Vivino. This wine pairs well with beef, poultry, game, grilled steak, wild boar ragu, and Pecorino cheese.
