Famille Natter "Les Terres Blanches" is a classic white Sancerre from the Loire Valley of France, produced by the Henry Natter estate in the quiet village of Montigny. Crafted from 100% Sauvignon Blanc grown on clay-limestone soils — the terres blanches that give this cuvée its name — at altitudes of up to 350 metres, the wine expresses the precise mineral character that defines great Sancerre.
The Natter family has been crafting wine at their Montigny estate since 1974, the first domaine established on this side of the modern Sancerre appellation. Long before sustainability became fashionable, the Natters were farming with a conscience: planting hedges and trees to protect biodiversity, avoiding weedkillers, building beehives, and creating a sanctuary for birds and insects. The estate ages this wine traditionally in barrels for six months, lending finesse and elegance without obscuring its vibrant fruit character.
The wine displays pale golden hues with a bouquet of good intensity, offering floral notes alongside fruity aromas marked by citrus. On the palate it shows a fresh, balanced attack with a long, lingering finish. An ideal pairing for fish, shellfish, oysters, and light appetizers. Sold in cases of 12 x 750ml bottles.
