Furthermore Wines Pinot Noir Russian River Valley is a handcrafted Pinot Noir from Sonoma County's prestigious Russian River Valley appellation, produced by celebrated winemaker Ross Cobb. Founded in 2006 by Chad Richard and Bob Zeches, Furthermore Wines sources fruit from top Russian River Valley vineyards including the estate Graton Ridge vineyard, located adjacent to Paul Hobbs' property on the west side of the valley.
This elegant red wine presents a ruby color with an expressive nose of fresh red cherries, raspberries, spiced cranberry, delicate rose petals, forest floor, and warm baking spices with hints of plum, cola, and orange peel. On the palate it delivers a graceful interplay of ripe red fruit and savory undertones — wild strawberry, cherry, and raspberry framed by cinnamon, baking spice, and earthy notes — with tangy acidity and fine-grained, silky tannins. The wine is aged 18 months in French oak with 30% new oak, and only approximately 980 cases are produced per vintage. Alcohol content is 13.5% ABV.
This wine pairs beautifully with duck, goose, roast chicken, game birds, mushroom dishes, and rich umami-based preparations.
