Echo de Lynch Bages is the second wine of the prestigious Château Lynch-Bages, a fifth classified growth estate from Pauillac in Bordeaux. This elegant red blend is crafted from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, sourced primarily from the youngest vines on the estate, representing 30% of the harvest. Formerly known as Château Haut-Bages Averous until 2008, Echo de Lynch Bages has established its own identity while maintaining the exceptional quality standards of its parent château.

The wine displays savoury aromas of fresh red fruits, blackberry and cassis, complemented by notes of black cherry, plum compote, chocolate, leather, tobacco and oak. Fleshy and warm in feel, it offers a medium to full-bodied structure with creamy texture, grippy tannins from Pauillac, and excellent length. The wine is aged traditionally in oak barrels for 14 months, providing well-integrated oak character and broad finish. Echo de Lynch Bages is round, mellow and seductive in its youth, with outstanding aging potential.

This wine pairs beautifully with beef, lamb, poultry and game. The estate practices sustainable viticulture with reasoned agriculture, optimized phytosanitary control, controlled grassing for vine vigor management, and use of environmentally neutral products. Owned by the Cazes family and managed by Jean-Charles Cazes, the vineyard extends on the Bages plateau overlooking the Gironde estuary at the gates of Pauillac. Recent vintages have received critical acclaim with scores ranging from 90-94 points. Alcohol by volume is 13.5%.
