Chateau Le Bon Pasteur 2021 Pomerol is a prestigious red Bordeaux from the Right Bank, produced from a 6.62-hectare estate situated on the border of Pomerol and Saint-Emilion. The wine is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, grown on terroir composed of gravel, sand, and clay soils with vines averaging 30 years of age planted at a density of 6,500 vines per hectare.

The 2021 vintage scored 93 points from The Wine Cellar Insider, who noted aromas of flowers, black cherries, espresso, licorice, mint, and red plums. The medium-bodied palate delivers freshness, purity, and elegance with flavors of cherry, plum, chocolate, mint, and raspberry. The wine was aged for 15 to 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels and bottled unfiltered. Drinking window is 2024 through 2040.

Chateau Le Bon Pasteur has a history dating back to 1920 and was formerly managed by renowned Bordeaux consultants Michel and Dany Rolland. The estate is now owned by the Goldin Group. Production averages approximately 2,500 cases per vintage, making this a limited-production Pomerol. The 2021 is recognized among the best vintages of Le Bon Pasteur.
