Château Haut-Bages Libéral is a celebrated 5th Grand Cru Classé estate from Pauillac, one of Bordeaux's most prestigious appellations on the Left Bank of the Gironde. This 2021 vintage is produced from organically and biodynamically grown grapes, with Demeter certification, and is composed of approximately 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot.

The wine opens with very fine, sophisticated aromas of black currant, cassis, minty berries, pencil shavings, and cigar wrapper. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with rich, structured flavors built around a muscular frame of ripe, powdery tannins and fine, integrated acidity that leads to a rounded, lingering finish. Wine Enthusiast awarded it 94 points.

This is an age-worthy Bordeaux best cellared for several years, with an optimal drinking window beginning around 2028. Half of the estate's vineyards are located adjacent to the legendary Château Latour, contributing to the wine's classic Pauillac character and potential for long-term development.
