This grand vin is composed of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot, crafted from grapes grown on the estate's oldest vines averaging fifty-five years of age. Only 53% of the vintage was selected for this grand vin, aged in 55% new French oak barrels.

The wine opens with distinctive black tea and pepper notes before revealing layers of dark berries, cassis, blackberry, and black fig.
