The Vice "The House" Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic Napa Valley red wine crafted by co-founder and winemaker Malek Amrani and Chief Brand Officer Torie Greenberg. Founded with a mission to make exceptional Napa Valley wine accessible, The Vice draws from 15 of Napa's 16 sub-appellations, blending complexity with consistency in every limited-edition batch.
"The House" is meticulously sourced from six distinct Napa Valley vineyards: Spring Mountain contributes rich tannins and full body from east-facing sedimentary soils; Atlas Peak provides lush purple fruit from high-elevation volcanic soil; St. Helena delivers signature red fruit character; Oakville adds crucial structure with its cool, fog-influenced microclimate; Coombsville brings dark fruit notes and elegance from volcanic ash deposits; and Los Carneros contributes vibrancy from a hillside vineyard near Mount Veeder. The wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels using 50% new French and American oak for a seamless balance of varietal expression and barrel character.
The wine presents a lush and toasty nose of ripe dark berries and sweet spices. The palate is muscular and plush, with prominent notes of cacao and tobacco leaf wrapping a deep core of fruit. The finish is long, creamy, and velvety. Rated 93 points by James Suckling, who described it as "well-balanced, lively and deep" with a harmonious combination of raspberry and red-cherry aromas, moderate tannins, and bright, focused fruit flavors. Alcohol: 14.0%.
