Tequila Ocho Plata Puntas is a premium overproof expression of Tequila Ocho's acclaimed Plata tequila. "Puntas" refers to the cut taken from the transition between the heads and the heart of the distillation, capturing the fullest expression of the agave plant. The tequila comes off the still at approximately 128 proof and is then carefully diluted with natural spring water from the distillery in Arandas, Jalisco to a bottling strength of around 101 proof (50.5% ABV).

Produced at the La Alteña distillery in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, Tequila Ocho is a collaboration between master distiller Carlos Camarena and the late Tomas Estes. Each vintage is crafted from 100% blue Weber agave harvested from a single estate, with the specific ranch noted on the label, reflecting the terroir-driven philosophy of the brand. The Puntas expression is designed for the tequila connoisseur who appreciates bold, full-bodied agave character with heightened aromatic complexity and a robust, slightly higher-proof finish.
