Samlip Official Yakgwa Honey Cookies are a traditional Korean dessert made with wheat flour, honey, sesame oil, ginger juice, and rice wine. Yakgwa is a deep-fried confection that dates back to Korea's Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392), where it was historically reserved for royalty and served during ceremonies and holidays. These cookies are fried until golden, then soaked in honey or malt syrup, creating a distinctive sweet flavor with a subtle hint of spice. The cookies feature a chewy yet firm texture due to the frying process, with a rich honey taste that pairs well with ice cream, yogurt, coffee, or tea.
Each 52.9-ounce bag contains individually wrapped cookies for freshness and portion control. The cookies can be enjoyed straight from the package, warmed in the microwave for enhanced crispness, crumbled over yogurt or ice cream, or paired with hot beverages. Made by Samlip, a South Korean brand established in 1969 that specializes in traditional baked goods and snacks.
