Benmar "Into the Fog" is the flagship Pinot Noir from Benmar Wine, an Oregon producer whose name is drawn from the winemaker's two children, Bennett and Marecca. Crafted by a Rochioli-trained winemaker, this 100% Pinot Noir is an organic blend sourcing 85% of its fruit from a vineyard in the Dundee Hills and the remaining 15% from the Eola-Amity Hills, both prized sub-appellations within the Willamette Valley AVA.

On the nose, the wine opens with ripe red cherries, wild strawberries, and a subtle earthiness, accompanied by delicate aromas of rose petals, cinnamon, and a touch of forest floor. On the palate, flavors of blackcap raspberries, licorice fern, cedar, and sweet earth intermingle with fresh, juicy red fruit. The wine's energetic acidity and graceful tannins provide structure, with a complex brininess and mouth-watering vibrancy characteristic of the Dundee Hills terroir. The Eola-Amity Hills component adds an ethereal note of wild rose on the finish, alongside spiced oak and a mouth-coating basalt minerality. Alcohol is 13.5% with a natural cork closure.
