Signal Ridge Vineyard Pinot Noir from Mendocino Ridge is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir sourced from one of California's most distinctive high-elevation wine regions. The vineyard sits at approximately 2,600 feet elevation in the Mendocino Ridge AVA, a cool, isolated appellation perched above the fog line on Cold Spring Mountain in Mendocino County.
The wine displays aromatic complexity with notes of white pepper, soy, rose petal, and garrigue alongside blackberry, dark cherry, and orange peel. On the palate it shows bright acidity with excellent focus and grip, with finely woven tannins and deep mineral intensity reflecting the vineyard's fractured marine sediment soils. The high elevation and cool microclimate produce balanced, age-worthy Pinot Noir with scores in the low 90s from critics. The wine is bottled at approximately 13.1% alcohol by volume.
Multiple producers have made wine from Signal Ridge Vineyard, including Bravium Wines and Kutch Wines, with Costco offering this bottling as a single-vineyard selection. Production is limited, typically a few hundred cases per vintage.
