Ehlers Estate is a historic Napa Valley winery located just north of St. Helena, established in 1886 on a 42-acre estate farmed using certified organic and biodynamic practices. Their Bordeaux Blend — known as the Portrait — is a masterful expression of Napa Valley terroir, blending estate-grown Bordeaux varietals to deliver elegance, complexity, and depth in every bottle.

The blend is composed of approximately 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Cabernet Franc, 16% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot, aged in French oak barrels. The wine opens with aromas of black cherry, cassis, plum, mocha, cedar, and baking spices. On the palate it is rich and full-bodied, offering dark berries, chocolate, and espresso with supple tannins and refined structure. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of toasted vanilla and spice. Alcohol by volume is approximately 14.9%.

Best served at 60–65°F and pairs well with grilled steaks, braised short ribs, and aged cheeses. Ehlers Estate is the only non-profit winery in Napa Valley — all proceeds from wine sales support cardiovascular disease research.
