Chateau Rauzan-Segla is a celebrated Second Growth (2ème Grand Cru Classé) estate from the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux, France, classified in the historic 1855 classification. The 2020 vintage is widely regarded as one of the finest in recent memory, with low yields of 30 hl/ha producing exceptional concentration and complexity.

This wine is blended from 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels with 60% new oak. It presents a deep purple-black color with aromas of blackcurrant cordial, stewed red and black plums, chocolate-covered cherries, raspberry coulis, tar, licorice, red roses, and menthol. On the palate, the wine is medium-to-full-bodied with elegant intensity, beautifully soft tannins, and a long, perfumed finish. Alcohol is 13.5% ABV.

Critics have awarded the 2020 vintage exceptional scores, including 98 points from Wine Advocate and Jeb Dunnuck, 97 points from Vinous, and 97-98 points from James Suckling. The wine is approachable beginning around 2026-2028 and is expected to peak between 2028-2044, with aging potential of 30 or more years.
