Dogfish Head World Wide Stout is a bold American Imperial Stout originally released in 1999. Brewed with a ridiculous amount of barley, this dark, roasty and complex ale clocks in at 15-20% ABV with 70 IBUs, offering a depth more in line with a fine port than a mass-marketed beer.

The appearance is dark and opaque with cream-colored foam. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee and licorice give way to flavors of roasted malt and subtle coffee notes. The mouthfeel is slightly coating with lingering bitterness, finishing dry, sweet and warming.

World Wide Stout is an ageable beer that only gets better with time. As it ages, the heat of the alcohol fades into the background while port notes and roastiness take over.
