Boomtown by Dusted Valley Merlot is a red wine crafted in Washington State's renowned Columbia Valley appellation. The wine is a blend of approximately 90% Merlot, 5% Syrah, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Malbec, with all fruit sourced entirely from Columbia Valley vineyards in Washington State.

On the nose, this Merlot opens with aromas of cherry hand pie, blueberry compote, peppered pastrami, and magnolia blossom. On the palate it delivers a chewy, crisp, dry medium-to-full body with mouth-coating tannins and a peppery, refreshing finish carrying notes of leather, carob, black licorice, and firm plum. Its robust tannin structure makes it an excellent pairing for rich, flavorful foods such as grilled meats, hearty stews, and aged cheeses.

Boomtown is produced by Dusted Valley, a Walla Walla winery founded in 2003 by Wisconsin natives Chad Johnson and Corey Braunel. The winegrowers work closely with vineyard managers at The Cliffs Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA, Two Gun Vineyard in the Ancient Lakes AVA, and several cool-climate sites in the Yakima Valley AVA to oversee every step from vine to bottle. The Boomtown line is produced at approximately 20,000 cases annually and is distributed through fine restaurants and wine retailers nationwide.
