The 2024 George Remus Gatsby Reserve is an ultra-limited edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey distilled at the Ross & Squibb Distillery (MGP) in Indiana under Master Distiller Ian Stirsman. Now in its third annual release, this expression pays homage to the Prohibition era and the legendary bootlegger George Remus, whose flamboyant lifestyle is said to have inspired F. Scott Fitzgerald's character Jay Gatsby when the two reportedly met in 1918.

This 15-year-old bourbon is a blend of two high-rye mashbills — the first composed of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley, and the second of 60% corn, 36% rye, and 4% malted barley — bottled at 104.9 proof (52.45% ABV). The blend delivers exceptional complexity with surprisingly low heat for a near barrel-proof expression. The Art Deco-inspired bottle design evokes the glamour of 1920s America.

On the nose, expect seasoned aged oak, caramel, leather, and stone fruits. The palate opens with aged musty oak, warm caramel, walnut, dark cherry, tobacco, and antique leather, while the finish lingers with light baking spices, caramel, fig, roasted almonds, and a faint bubblegum note.
