Rutherford Hill Winery Sauvignon Blanc is a distinguished white wine from the Rutherford AVA of Napa Valley, California. The winery was founded in 1972 with a focus on Bordeaux varietals, and has since become one of Napa Valley's premier producers. The wine is crafted under the direction of winemaker Michael Coode, whose experience spans 18 harvests across four countries, including stints at Chateau Margaux in Bordeaux and Paul Jaboulet Aîné in the Rhône Valley.

This Sauvignon Blanc has earned a 94-point score from Wine Spectator — one of only a handful of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blancs ever to achieve that distinction. Tasting notes describe it as exuberant and generous, with aromas of passion fruit, Key lime, dried pineapple, and orange blossoms, along with grated ginger. The wine reveals a hint of sea salt minerality on its long, expressive finish, where toasted herb accents linger. More recent vintages show a medium gold color with a minerally bouquet of lemon, pineapple, passionfruit, apple skins, lychee, and nectarines, with bright, crisp, and balanced acidity offering a rounded and creamy character on the palate.
