Kentucky Peerless Rum Barrel Finished Bourbon is a limited-release, barrel-proof straight bourbon whiskey from the historic Kentucky Peerless Distilling Co. in Louisville, Kentucky. Founded in 1889 by Henry Kraver and continued today by his 4th and 5th generation descendants, Corky and Carson Taylor, Peerless upholds the same honest craft standards established over a century ago.

This expression takes Peerless' core sweet mash bourbon and finishes it in genuine rum casks, allowing two full barrel extractions. The result is a whiskey of supreme complexity and mouthfeel, with the distillery's dedicated tasting team hand-selecting barrels that carry prominent grain, fruit, and herbaceous notes to complement the extra barrel character. It is strictly sweet mash, barrel proof, never chill-filtered, and no water is added — every drop is honestly crafted and never sourced.

Batch 2 (2024 Limited Release) presents a nose of salt water taffy, sweet florals, pears, toasted coconut, and plums. The palate opens with waves of sliced pineapple and upside-down pineapple cake, followed by cinnamon bread, cherry reduction, piña colada, burnt sorghum, blueberry reduction, and a hint of sweet mint. The finish is long and tropical. Bottled at 109.1 proof (54.55% ABV), 750ml.
