Aresca San Luigi Nizza DOCG is a 100% Barbera wine from Piedmont's prestigious Nizza DOCG appellation, crafted from selected vineyards around Nizza Monferrato with exceptional exposures and low yields. Named after Luigi Aresca, the company's founder who championed this noble Piemontese grape variety, this wine represents the estate's flagship offering. The production follows strict DOCG requirements with a maximum yield of 70 quintals per hectare and aging for a minimum of 18 months, including at least 6 months in wood barrels.

Enticing aromas of dark blackberry, plum, and black cherry intertwine with the delicate scent of drying violet and rose petals. On the palate, this full-bodied yet elegant wine showcases flavors of black currant, black olive, mature cherry, tobacco, and dried herbs, all finding equal balance. The wine displays great structure with notes of ripe red fruit and a delicate spicy finish. The wine is vinified with maceration on the skins for 15-18 days at controlled temperatures of 28-30°C, followed by aging of at least 6 months in wood.
