Le Chiuse Brunello di Montalcino is a prestigious Italian red wine produced from 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on the northern slopes of Montalcino in Tuscany. The estate spans 18 hectares of calcareous clay soils rich in marine fossils at elevations between 300 and 330 meters.
Grapes are hand-selected, destemmed, and fermented in stainless steel and cement tanks using indigenous yeasts for approximately 20 days. The wine then matures in large 30-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels for about three years before release. The fruit is certified organic.
The wine offers aromas and flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and violet, with mineral, tobacco, and bitter almond accents. It is solidly built with dense tannins and a persistent, elegant finish. Critically acclaimed, it has received scores including 94 points from Wine Spectator and up to 99 points from other reviewers. Released in numbered bottles. 750ML.
