BC Spot Prawns are wild-caught, trap-harvested premium crustaceans from British Columbia's Pacific waters, known for their distinctive sweet taste and firm, meaty texture. These extra-large spot prawns are a treasured delicacy enjoyed in restaurants worldwide, particularly prized by Japanese sushi bars where they're served as Amaebi (sweet shrimp).

These prawns are harvested using sustainable trap-fishing methods that produce virtually no bycatch and cause no damage to the ocean floor, earning SeaChoice Best Choice certification. The trap-to-freezer process preserves peak freshness and quality. BC spot prawns can be prepared multiple ways: eaten raw as sashimi, or cooked shell-on by sautéing, boiling, or grilling for one to two minutes until they turn pink.

Each package contains approximately 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) of extra-large prawns, typically sized at 18-24 tails per pound. The prawns are frozen in seawater to maintain optimal freshness and flavor.
