Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel Proof Private Barrel is a rare, hand-selected Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Heaven Hill Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, bottled at cask strength with no dilution. This exclusive expression takes fully matured Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon and finishes it in a second, custom-toasted new oak barrel, adding a rich layer of sweet oak complexity that distinguishes it from the standard lineup.

Each private barrel is individually selected from barrel stocks designated specifically to become Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel. The entire contents of that single barrel are bottled at barrel proof—typically ranging from approximately 127 to 134 proof (63.5–67% ABV)—delivering an intense, concentrated whiskey experience unique to that specific selection. The twice-barreled process begins with Heaven Hill's traditional Level 3 charred new oak barrels for initial aging, then transfers to custom toasted-and-flash-charred finishing barrels crafted in collaboration with the Independent Stave Company using premium air-dried white oak.

On the nose, expect rich caramel and abundant toasted oak aromas. The palate is big, complex, and layered, with baking spices and pepper giving way to milk chocolate and just a hint of smoke. The finish is long and warming, with lingering chocolate and sweet oak notes.
