Anchorage Brewing Company's Zimt Star is a barrel-aged Double Pastry Dark Ale inspired by the classic German cinnamon star cookie, Zimtsterne. This rich and complex ale is finished on cinnamon roasted hazelnuts and fresh orange peel, then double oaked and aged for 30 months in Willett Rye and Calumet Farms Bourbon barrels.
At 16.5% ABV, Zimt Star delivers layered aromas of both rye and bourbon barrels alongside cinnamon, roasted hazelnuts, and fresh orange peel. The palate is greeted with baking spice, dark chocolate, and orange notes, finishing with luxurious hints of wood char and bourbon warmth. This limited-release craft beer is presented in a 375ml bottle, ideal for sharing or cellaring.
