Fontodi Chianti Classico is a DOCG-certified red wine from the heart of Tuscany's historic Chianti Classico zone, crafted from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the renowned Conca d'Oro (Golden Shell) — a natural amphitheater of vineyards celebrated for its ideal sun exposure and galestro schist soils. The estate has been managed by Giovanni Manetti since 1980, who follows biodynamic principles to ensure the highest quality fruit, even raising Chianina cattle to produce organic fertilizer for the vineyards.

Fontodi's Chianti Classico is a dry, medium- to full-bodied red wine aged for 20–22 months in a combination of large casks and neutral French oak barriques. It expresses aromas of sour and black cherries, violets, leather, thyme, and dried herbs, with a palate showing rich black cherry and plum flavors balanced by vibrant acidity and firm, pliant tannins.
