Lunae Black Label Vermentino is a flagship white wine from Cantine Lunae, one of Liguria's most celebrated producers, named after the ancient Roman port city "Portus Lunae." Founded in 1966 by Paolo Bosoni, the winery is the largest in Liguria with annual production of approximately 780,000 bottles. This wine is crafted from 100% Vermentino grapes, with select fruit sourced from older hillside vines.

The winemaking process begins with cold maceration on the skins for 8 hours, which adds complexity and aromatic depth before fermentation and aging in stainless steel for approximately 4 months. The result is a dry white wine with 13% alcohol that showcases straw yellow color, aromas of ripe stone fruits (apricot, peach), acacia flowers, Mediterranean scrub, and briny, balsamic notes. On the palate it offers vibrant freshness and sapidity balanced by a rounded body, finishing with pleasant almond and ripe fruit notes. It carries a Gambero Rosso 3 Glasses rating and Vivino 4-star rating, with critics scoring recent vintages at 90/100. Pairs beautifully with Ligurian cuisine, seafood, poultry, and fish-based soups. The wine is produced under sustainable and organic conversion practices in the Colli di Luni DOC zone.
