Cordero San Giorgio Moscato Bianco is a Moscato d'Asti DOCG from the Langhe region of Piedmont, Italy. Made from 100% Moscato Bianco grapes grown in the vineyards of San Giorgio di Castiglione Tinella, where the limestone-rich soils with sandy veins and vines averaging 40 years old contribute to the wine's expressive character.
The wine presents a brilliant straw yellow color with fine perlage. On the nose, it is intense and aromatic with delicate notes of acacia flowers, peach, and a musky character. On the palate, it is sweet, elegant, and fresh with good acidity, finishing with lingering hints of ginger and summer fruits.
Winemaking begins with a careful selection of the best grapes followed by soft pressing to preserve their aromatic compounds. The must is cold-settled and stored in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in an autoclave and is halted at approximately 5% ABV by rapid refrigeration. The wine is then sterile-filtered and cold-bottled without malolactic fermentation to preserve its fresh, fragrant aromatics.
Versatile in food pairings, it is well-suited as an aperitif and pairs harmoniously with desserts, pastries, and blue cheeses. Sold in 750ml bottles, available in cases of 12.
