Salvestrin Winery Cabernet Sauvignon is a Napa Valley red wine produced by a fourth-generation family estate located in St. Helena, California. The Salvestrin family has been farming their historic 20-acre property since 1932, on land first planted with wine grapes by Dr. George Belden Crane in 1860. Owner, farmer, and winemaker Rich Salvestrin oversees production of approximately 5,500 cases per year.
The wine is a Bordeaux-inspired blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Zinfandel, and 1% Petite Sirah, drawn largely from the estate's Crystal Springs Vineyard. It delivers a vibrant array of black cherry, black currants, cedar, and dried violets, with a medium-bodied mouthfeel, distinct silkiness, and a touch of minerality. The finish is elegant and food-friendly, well-suited to grilled meats, aged cheeses, and hearty red-sauce dishes.
Salvestrin Winery holds Napa Green certification for both its winery and vineyard, reflecting a commitment to sustainable and environmentally responsible farming. Available in a 750mL bottle; sold in cases of 12 at Costco.
