Altesino Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is a benchmark Italian red wine produced by Altesino, one of the most celebrated estates in Montalcino, Tuscany. Founded in 1970, Altesino has long been recognized as a pioneer of the appellation — the first estate to introduce single-vineyard Cru designations in Brunello history and among the first to experiment with barriques. The winery is situated in Palazzo Altesi, a 15th-century farmhouse, and is owned by the Gnudi Angelini family since 2002.

Made entirely from Sangiovese Grosso (locally called "Brunello"), the wine is grown on approximately 21 hectares of tufaceous limestone and Alberese soils across six vineyard plots. Brunello di Montalcino DOCG requires a minimum of two years in oak and four months in bottle before release, resulting in a wine of exceptional structure and longevity. Altesino's Brunello is noted for aromas of ripe strawberries, crushed roses, sweet herbs, licorice, tar, and tobacco leaf, with fine tannins, bright acidity, and a long, elegant finish. The wine is capable of aging 20 or more years in top vintages and gains complexity over time, developing notes of dried figs, candied cherries, hazelnuts, and leather.

Each bottle contains 750ml at a minimum of 13% ABV. Brunello di Montalcino received DOCG status in 1980 and is widely considered one of Italy's greatest and most age-worthy red wines.
