Broc Cellars Rosato is an Italian-inspired organic rosé from Mendocino County, California, crafted by the acclaimed natural wine producer Broc Cellars. The blend is composed primarily of Montepulciano with a touch of Sangiovese, sourced entirely from Fox Hill, Broc Cellars' certified organic vineyard located on the Talmage Benchland above the Russian River in Mendocino County.
This is a deeper, more generous rosato than typical pale Provençal-style rosés, offering more color and a fuller body that makes it a four-season wine. The winemaking process involves immediate foot stomping of the Montepulciano grapes upon arrival at the winery, followed by gentle pressing into stainless steel tanks for natural fermentation, then aging in concrete for several months. No artificial additives are used, staying true to the natural wine philosophy that defines Broc Cellars.
Tasting notes include Italian lavender, raspberry, cherry candy, strawberry, and watermelon agua fresca. The wine balances deep fruit with a slight savory structure, offering vibrant acidity that makes it exceptionally food-friendly and versatile across many occasions.
