San Marzano Sessantanni Primitivo di Manduria DOP is an iconic Italian red wine from Puglia, produced by Cantine San Marzano in the Manduria region. The name "Sessantanni" means "sixty years" in Italian, a tribute to the estate's old vines that are at least sixty years old and trained using the traditional Alberello system of Puglia. This wine is widely credited with changing the perception of wines from Puglia on the world stage.

Crafted from 100% Primitivo grapes, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks before aging for 12 months in both French and American oak barrels, resulting in a complex, structured, and deeply expressive wine. Each bottle contains 750 mL.

The wine displays an intense ruby red color with a wide and complex bouquet featuring prune and cherry jam aromas with hints of tobacco. On the palate it is full-bodied, well-balanced, soft, and rich in elegant tannins, finishing long with notes of cocoa, coffee, and vanilla. It pairs beautifully with savory first courses, red meats, and game, and is best served at 18°C (64°F).

Sessantanni has earned numerous prestigious accolades including multiple Tre Bicchieri awards from Gambero Rosso, consistent 99-point scores from Luca Maroni, 91 points from Wine Spectator, 91 points from James Suckling, and gold medals from competitions across Asia, Europe, and the Southern Hemisphere.
