Casa Primicia Viña Diezmo Reserva is a Spanish red wine produced by Bodegas Casa Primicia from the prestigious Rioja DOCa appellation in La Rioja, Spain. Crafted primarily from Tempranillo grapes, this wine carries the Reserva designation, meaning it underwent extended aging — a minimum of three years total, with at least one year in oak barrels — before release.
In the glass, the wine presents a medium ruby color. The nose offers aromas of red berry fruit and cigar box, while the palate delivers flavors of black cherry, boysenberry, mocha, and subtle spice. It is dry throughout with good acidity and soft, integrated tannins, making it approachable upon release while still holding complexity. The wine finishes cleanly with lingering savory notes and tobacco character.
At 14% alcohol by volume, this is a well-structured, food-friendly wine that pairs well with roasted meats, pork dishes, and pizza. It received a 94-point rating from Wine Enthusiast and has been recognized as an outstanding value in the Rioja category.
