Domaine Mont Bessay "En Bessay" Juliénas is a red wine from the Juliénas appellation in Beaujolais, France, made entirely from Gamay grapes. The domaine was founded in 2021 by Philippe Pascal, a former LVMH executive, and Guillaume Marko, a specialist in organic and biodynamic viticulture. Together they apply a philosophy of "sélection parcellaire," carefully matching viticulture and winemaking practices to each individual vineyard parcel.

The En Bessay bottling draws from plots surrounding the newly established winery, where elevated granite-soil vineyards allow the Gamay grape to express its full character. The wine offers bright red cherry aromas with an attractive earthiness and spice, while its structure is balanced by freshness and elegance — qualities not always expected from the Juliénas cru, which is traditionally overshadowed by neighboring appellations such as Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie, and Morgon. On the palate it is a lively, mid-weight wine that is approachable now and pairs well with charcuterie, roasted poultry, and light red meat dishes.
